i have thought about this long and hard and i have come to this decision.

1. since i am just a volunteer in the moderation of this board, i have decided that ANY post that I find offensive to ME will be deleted.

2. i will not tolerate posts or private messages with threats or name calling.

3. for all that do not know so that you know when you decide to "thump your chest" and resort to being an internet "toughguy",

      a. slander: Slander involves the making of defamatory statements by a transitory (non-fixed) representation, usually an oral (spoken) representation.

      b. libel: Libel involves the making of defamatory statements in a printed or fixed medium, such as a magazine or newspaper.

      c. defamation: A false and defamatory statement concerning another.

now, i have come to this point because of a recent argument between a couple of mesage board users where one has apparently deemed himself/herself to be a victim.

i tried to help resolve the situation bewtween the two and apparently was only 50% successful. remember i have better things to do than to babysit a message board. i did not want to become an "asshole" moderator, but to hell with it, now i will be.

this board is about jericho and our enjoyment, (or lack of), and the discussion of the show.

the tragedy in virginia is exactly that and these victims of the gunman are the true victims here.

also,

for those who are curious, the "applaud/smite" numbers really mean nothing. if they did, i would consider a "libel/defamation" of character suit.

and a note to whoever has another account in which to build up their own numbers:
